Gain essential knowledge and skills and enhance your CV with this user friendly distance learning Traffic Marshall Banksman Course.

This course has been designed to HSE standards by LG Training, qualified to NEBOSH Diploma standards. Under Health and Safety Law employers are responsible for the safe access and egress of traffic using their premises. This includes delivery vehicles, visitors, contractors and pedestrians on their site. A qualified banksman is a great asset to any responsible employer.

A Traffic Marshall's duties are to safely direct persons and traffic around sites where vehicles may have to load and manoeuvre in restricted areas where there may be lack of visibility.

Who is this course for?

The course is for Trainers who have a responsibility for training people to organise and direct traffic on sites in all types of industry.

LG Training packages are accredited courses for trainers to use in the training of their candidates. Upon purchase it gives the purchaser the rites to deliver this package. This is not a Train the Trainer course as we take it that you are already a trainer. We also do not give you any practical assistance with any of your practical delivery on the equipment you use as we take it you are familiar with using your own equipment. Once you as the trainer have submitted a completed answer sheet to us we will issue you with a certificate to say you are permitted to deliver this accredited course. Any accredited certificates for your candidates must be issued from our accreditation centre at £10 per certificate.

This being said, we do give practical training on your equipment if you desire it but this is for an extra charge. We will send you the Trainers certificate when you submit the answers to the questions. We understand that you have the marking template but as a trainer you will probably want to work through the questions yourself so you know the course well, we do not charge for your Trainers certificate

Requirements

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
